I just found this group and thought I would share a completed project. I mostly embroider, but lately I'm giving crochet another try. I learned both as a child, which resulted in many needles stuck in feet (mostly mine) and some crazy-looking projects.( Read more...Collapse )

however seeing as though is is truelly the third time i tried to embroider anything i feel proud enough to share. done freehand, no pattern :) what do you all recommend as the better stitch to do this kind of stuff, the 'backstitch'? i did i think, a 'splitstitch' where the needle goes through the thread of the first stitch. or i could just be making that up, because when i look at the instructions my mind goes blank and it is really hard for me to visual the actual stitches from those diagrams. is it bad to just wing whatever looks good or do you want to strive something more textbook? i am very new at this....help!one more....( Read more...Collapse )
